Thank you! You don't say which version of Office your husband got. My guess is that he got Office , the currently avaiable latest version. I believe you can definitely install a 32 bit version of Office on Windows 7 64bit. If your version of Windows doesn't like the 32 bit version of Office , it will not allow you to install. Don't be concerned about inadvertantly installing an application that will corrupt your operating system.
In a perfect world, you would get the 64 bit version of Office It will love your operating system and wil run faster than an installed 32 bit version.
In general, my experience has been that most but not all 32 bit applications will install and run successfully on Windows 7 64 bit.
